Council is currently finalising an inventory of trees and hedges in and around the village that will be its responsibility to keep trimmed and shaped, particularly to avoid pathways and streetlights becoming overgrown. Uncertainties between public and private responsibility seem to arise each year so the inventory is seen as a means to clarify the position so Council can then budget and schedule the maintenance work accordingly. Residents are also requested to check their responsibilities and prevent any growth over pathways and streetlights.
